MUARA NAVAL BASE, WEDNESDAY, 18 MARCH 2026 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) hosted the Ministry of Defence’s Nuzul Al-Quran Celebration and Third Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base, in conjunction with the Ihya’ Ramadan Outreach Programme 1447 Hijrah.
Present at the ceremony was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II. Also in attendance were members of the Defence Executive Committee, members of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Executive Committee, as well as senior officers, officers and personnel of the Ministry of Defence.
The ceremony was further attended by invited guests comprising the Commercial Managing Director of Muara Maritime Services (MMS), the Director of the Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam (MPABD), the Brunei-Muara District Officer, Penghulu of Mukim Serasa, as well as representatives from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Marine Police of the Royal Brunei Police Force, and the Royal Brunei Navy Primary School.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Al-Quran. A special tazkirah was delivered by Yang Mulia Ustaz Md Fahmi bin Haji Matnoor, Religious Officer from the RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT). The programme then continued with the recitation of Khatam Al-Quran and Tahlil, and concluded with the recitation of Doa Peliharakan Sultan and Negara Brunei Darussalam.
This religious event reflects the Ministry of Defence’s continued commitment to enlivening the holy month of Ramadhan and fostering unity, while strengthening ties between Ministry personnel and the wider community through meaningful religious programmes.

TENTERA LAUT DIRAJA BRUNEI MENGHOSKAN MAJLIS SAMBUTAN NUZUL AL-QURAN DAN MAJLIS KHATAM AL-QURAN KALI KETIGA KEMENTERIAN PERTAHANAN BERSEMPENA RAMADHAN 1447H
PANGKALAN TENTERA LAUT MUARA, RABU, 18 MAC 2026 – Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (TLDB) telah menghoskan Majlis Sambutan Nuzul Al-Quran dan Majlis Khatam Al-Quran Kali Ketiga anjuran Kementerian Pertahanan yang berlangsung di Surau Al-Huda, Pangkalan Tentera Laut Muara, bersempena dengan Program Jangkauan Ihya’ Ramadan 1447 Hijrah.
Hadir di majlis tersebut ialah Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri dan Menteri Pertahanan II. Turut hadir ialah Ahli-ahli Jawatankuasa Eksekutif Pertahanan, Ahli-ahli Jawatankuasa Eksekutif Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB), serta Pegawai-Pegawai Kanan, Pegawai-pegawai dan warga Kementerian Pertahanan.
Majlis turut dihadiri oleh jemputan khas yang terdiri daripada Pengarah Urusan Komersial Muara Maritime Services (MMS), Pengarah Pihak Berkuasa Maritim dan Pelabuhan Brunei Darussalam (MPABD), Pegawai Daerah Brunei-Muara, Penghulu Mukim Serasa, serta wakil-wakil daripada Jabatan Perdana Menteri, Polis Marin Pasukan Polis Diraja Brunei dan Sekolah Rendah Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Sayyidul Istighfar dan Surah Al-Fatihah, diikuti dengan bacaan ayat-ayat suci Al-Quran. Seterusnya, tazkirah khas telah disampaikan oleh Yang Mulia Ustaz Md Fahmi bin Haji Matnoor, Pegawai Ugama, Jabatanarah Agama ABDB (JAMA’AT). Majlis kemudiannya diteruskan dengan bacaan Khatam Al-Quran dan Tahlil serta diakhiri dengan bacaan Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
Majlis keugamaan ini mencerminkan komitmen berterusan Kementerian Pertahanan dalam mengimarahkan bulan suci Ramadan, di samping memupuk perpaduan serta mengeratkan hubungan antara warga Kementerian Pertahanan dan masyarakat setempat melalui penganjuran program-program keugamaan.
