Penanjong Garrison, Friday, 23 May 2025 - With the consent of His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, a total of 91 personnel from the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) were awarded the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (Military) in recognition of their unwavering dedication, commendable conduct, and loyal service to the nation.
The medal presentation ceremony, held at the Nikmat Hall, Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces (TI RBAF), was officiated by Yang Mulia Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF). Also present witnessing the event was the Commander of RBN, Captain Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, RBN along with RBAF Executive Committee and RBAF Senior Officers.
The RBN recipients were among 500 RBAF personnel honoured, which included individuals from the Royal Brunei Land Forces, Royal Brunei Air Force, and other RBAF units.
This prestigious award stands as a testament to the professionalism and steadfast commitment of RBN personnel in upholding the values of discipline, integrity, and excellence. Their service continues to play a crucial role in safeguarding Brunei Darussalam’s maritime security and sovereignty.
