MUARA, Thursday, 25 January 2018 – The Annual Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy’s (RBN) Message Gathering for the Year 2018 was held at the RBN Multipurpose Hall, Muara Camp.
Present as the guest of honour was the Commander of the RBN, First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad. Also present were RBN Officers and personnel as well as personnel from the Technical Equipment Maintenance Department (TEMD) and Civilian Military Office (CMO).
The event started with a speech by the guest of honour where he expressed his gratitude to various achievements and developments that the RBN has been involved in the past year. The event was followed by the annual awards and certification presentation from the Fleet Headquarters, Support Services and Naval Training Centre respectively. Awards and certification from the Fleet Headquarters comprised of Commanding Officer of Patrol Vessel Certificate, Officer of the Watch Certificate, Rules of the Road Master Award, Coxswain of Landing Craft Certificate, Gold Anchor Award and Future Star Award. The award from Support Services was Best Engineer Award. The Award from Naval Training Center was Best Physical Fitness award for male and female officers as well as for male and female other ranks.
The event concluded with a recital of the doa selamat by Ustaz Rafiuddin bin Haji Mohd Ali, Religious Teacher RBN.
