MUARA NAVAL BASE, Saturday, 1 March 2025 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) commenced its Tadarus Al-Qur’an function in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan 1446H, held simultaneously across all suraus within the Ministry of Defence and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF).
Present at the event was The Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, Captain Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, RBN, along with members of the RBN Board of Committee, senior officers, officers, warrant officers, and other RBN personnel.
The event began with Isyak prayer, Sunat Terawih, and Witir prayers, followed by Tadarus with a mass recital of Surah Al-Baqarah. A Tadabbur Al-Qur’an session titled "The Significance of Al-Fatihah" was then delivered by Ustaz Ak Muhd Yadiy bin Sufriddin, Imam of Surau Al-Huda. The Tadabbur session highlighted the profound meaning of Surah Al-Fatihah, known as Ummul Kitab (The Mother of the Book). It is a Surah which has fundamental supplication in Islam that seeks Allah’s guidance, mercy, and protection, emphasizing His sovereignty, the Straight Path (As-Sirat Al-Mustaqim), and the muslim's dependence on Him.
The event concluded with the Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
