MUARA NAVAL BASE, Thursday, 30 January 2025 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) commemorated Isra’ and Mi’raj 1446 Hijrah with a religious gathering at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base. Present to grace the event was Captain Khairil Haji Abdul Rahman, RBN, Acting Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, as the Guest of Honour. The event was attended by Senior Officers, Officers, and Ratings of the RBN.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of verses 1–7 from Surah Al-Isra’ by 18973 Petty Officer Abdul Azim bin Ahmad Fadzillah, RBN. This was followed by a religious talk titled “Sembahyang Mencerdaskan Minda” (Prayer Enlightening the Mind), delivered by 1156 Captain Mohd Nasyrul Wafiy bin Haji Mahdini from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Religious Directorate.
The talk highlighted the significance of performing daily prayers (solat) as a means to strengthen the mind, enhance focus, and promote spiritual growth. Captain Mohd Nasyrul Wafiy also elaborated on the journey of Prophet Muhammad SAW, His sacrifices, and His divine ascension to Sidratul Muntaha, reaffirming His esteemed status as the final Messenger of Allah SWT.
The event concluded with the congregational Asar prayers. Similar commemorative ceremonies were held simultaneously across all Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Garrisons and Camps.
