Royal Brunei Navy and Indonesian Navy Conclude Preparations in Final Planning Conference for Exercise HELANG LAUT 21B/24

The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and the Indonesian Navy (TNI-AL) successfully concluded the Final Planning Conference (FPC) for Exercise HELANG LAUT 21B/24 from 09 to 10 September 2024 at the Naval Training Centre, Muara. Hosted via Video Teleconference by the Indonesian Navy, the conference was led by Captain Lukman Kharish of the TNI-AL and Commander Ade Roddiane bin Haji Mohd Rosdi of the RBN, with Commander Muhd Shahmun Azimin bin Haji Awg Asli, Defence Attaché of Brunei Darussalam to Indonesia, also in attendance. The conference finalized plans for the exercise, scheduled for 17 to 23 November 2024 in Surabaya, Indonesia. The exercise will feature naval tactical maneuvers, communications, and warfare exercises, and will also include the Helang Laut Cup, a sports event aimed at promoting camaraderie through friendly competition. The exercise aims to strengthen bilateral ties, enhance mutual cooperation, and foster understanding between the two navies.
