RBN Makes Waves with Beach Cleanup for 59th Anniversary

TANJUNG BATU BEACH, FRIDAY, 30 AUGUST 2024 – "Making a splash for a cleaner coast," the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) launched its second beach cleaning campaign at Tanjung Batu Beach to celebrate its 59th Anniversary.  This initiative saw RBN Support Services and Base Officers come together to restore the shoreline.

Launching and leading the campaign was Captain Khairil bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Acting Deputy Commander Royal Brunei Navy. The event kicked off with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, the initiative successfully removed 221 kg of waste, including plastics and other non-biodegradable materials. This effort not only contributes to a cleaner environment but also raises awareness among RBN personnel about the environmental impacts of littering.
