ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY CONDUCTS OPV DIALOGUE WITH ROYAL AUSTRALIAN NAVY (RAN) VIA VIDEO TELECONFERENCING

Friday, 17 September 2021 – The Royal Brunei Navy conducted an Offshore Patrol Vessel Dialogue this morning with the first Commanding Officer of Arafura-class, Royal Australian Navy via video teleconference broadcasted onboard KDB DARULEHSAN, Muara Naval Base.

Present during the VTC were ships' Captains along with their respective Executive Officers (XO) and other officers. The dialogue serves as a platform for information sharing, experiences and sharing of best practices on the PV80.

The OPV Dialogue session was conducted in conjunction with Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2021, a geared towards enhancing interoperability with Australia's key regional partners and a part of ongoing efforts to re-affirm Australia's positive relationships with other militaries through joint practical activities such as the recent Passage Exercise (PASSEX) with KDB DARULEHSAN. The session was concluded with a series of questions and answers, as well as, the Commanding Officer of Arafura-class expressed his greatest gratitude to KDB DARULEHSAN's Captain and officers for the informative sharing session. The Arafura Class is set to be in serviced in 2022.
