– The Officer Under Training Course of Intake 19, that started on the 21st May 2021, officially come to an end early today at the Multinational Coordination Centre (MNCC), Lecture Theatre, Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Muara. Present as the Guest of Honor was Yang Mulia, Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, Deputy Commander Navy. Also, in attendance were Commanding Officers, RBTS and RBN officers, NTC instructors and the Officers of Intake 19.
The closing ceremony started with the recitation of surah Al-Fatihah led by Ustaz Mas Ismadi bin Haji Hassan, Religious Teacher of the Royal Brunei Navy, and followed by an appreciation speech from the representative of the Officer Under Training Course (OUTC) of Officers Intake 19, Lieutenant Junior Grade Dk Rabiatul Muthiah binti Pengiran Haji Ismail. A speech then delivered by the RBTS Senior Instructor, Yang Mulia Commander (R) Pg Omaralli bin Pg Jaya Indera Pg Hj Moktar Puteh, where he featured that the students had grasped the knowledge as well as experience of the essential understanding of navigation, seamanship, and communication. The course consists of few exercises such as Navigation, Seamanship, Communication, Warfare and Fire Fighting and Damage Control. The 10-week course gave the fundamental information and abilities required as Fleet Officers in the Navy, which can contribute tremendously towards their ships, the Fleet, RBN, RBAF and the nation.
The Guest of Honor presented certificates to the course members. After that, a token of appreciation given from the course participants to the Guest of Honor. Short video was also presented which was made by the course members. The ceremony was concluded with the recital of 'Doa Selamat' and a group photo session with all the course members and the distinguished guests.
