SUNAT HAJAT PRAYER IN CONJUNCTION WITH EXERCISE HORNBILL 28/21

MUARA, Thursday, 22 July 2021 – Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a mass Maghrib prayer, Sunat Hajat prayer followed by a mass Isya prayer in conjunction with Exercise HORNBILL 28/21 that is scheduled to be held on 2 – 6 August 2021. The ceremony was held at the Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base.

Present at the ceremony was First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Haji Seruji, Commander of Royal Brunei Navy. Also in attendance was Captain Khairil bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Fleet Commander of Royal Brunei Navy, along with senior officers, officers and personnel from RBN.

The evening began with mass Maghrib prayer, followed by Sunat Hajat prayer, recitation of Surah Yaasin and Tahlil led by Ak Muhd Yadiy bin Pg Sufriddin, Imam of Surau Al-Huda. The ceremony then concluded with a mass Isya' prayer. The Sunat Hajat prayer was performed to ask for blessings and a successful, safe conduct of the exercise.

Exercise HORNBILL is a bilateral exercise conducted to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation between Royal Brunei Navy and Royal Malaysia Navy, and emphasise on the long-standing and close defence ties between Brunei and Malaysia.
