June 2022 – In conjunction with the Royal Brunei Navy’s 57th Anniversary, a Khatam Al-Quran event was held at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval base. In attendance were First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Haji Seruji, Commander RBN, along with members of the RBN Executive Board, officers and sailors of the RBN.
Prior to the ceremony, Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-fatihah were recited. The ceremony continued with the recitation of selected Surah from the Al-Qur’an, followed by
Takhtim Al-Quran,
Tahlil, Doa Khatam,
Dzikir Marhaban and concluded with recitation of Surah Al-Asr,
Tasbih Kaffarah, and
‘Doa Memohon Keampunan
untuk Kedua Ibubapa’, led by the imams of Surau Al-Huda.
The event is intended to encourage the personnel of the Royal Brunei Navy to incorporate the Al-Qur’an in their daily lives to uphold His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s aspiration to continue making Brunei Darussalam a nation of
Zikir.
