MUARA, FRIDAY, 18 SEPTEMBER 2026 – A total of 17 Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) were promoted during a ceremony held today at the RBN SNCOs’ Mess.
First Admiral Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, Commander of the RBN, officiated the event as the Guest of Honour and presented the rank insignia to the newly promoted personnel. The ceremony was also attended by members of the RBN Executive Board, senior officers, RBN Sergeant Majors, enlisted personnel, and the families of the promoted individuals.
During the proceedings, two personnel were promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer 1, five to Warrant Officer 2, and 10 to Chief Petty Officer.
These promotions mark a significant milestone in the careers of the 17 SNCOs, recognising their dedication, exemplary service, and continuous professional development. Furthermore, the advancement entrusts them with greater leadership responsibilities in supporting the RBN’s operational readiness and strategic mission requirements.
