BRUNEI DARUSSALAM, Friday, 14th April 2023 - In conjunction with the Holy Month of Ramadhan 1444H, the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) has organised Cemetery Cleaning Campaigns throughout the nation each led by different departments of the RBN and attended by their respective officers and ratings.
The RBN Fleet conducted their cemetery cleaning campaign at the Tanah Perkuburan Serai Pimping, Mukim Serasa where 50 fleet personnel participated and led by Warrant Officer 2 Rayme bin Hj Mahadi. Meanwhile, 74 personnel from the Naval Training Centre, led by Chief Petty Officer Mohd Eddy Noor bin Hj Ismail, was at Tanah Perkuburan Islam in Bukit Berangan, Kampong Sengkurong. The RBN Base department conducted theirs at Tanah Perkuburan Islam Semamang, Mukim Bangar, Temburong District and was led by Petty Officer Hj Arbi bin Hj Bungsu, along with 32 personnel.
The cleaning campaign at all locations began with the cleaning of the cemeteries followed by a recitation of Surah Yassin and Tahlil. At Tanah Perkuburan Islam Semamang, the recitation of Yassin and Tahlil was also dedicated to the late RBN personnel Able Rate Md Rafie bin Al-Mas.
This activity was carried out as part of RBN’s religious activities in the holy month of Ramadhan 1444H and to encourage all to perform good deeds, enhance spiritual growth and to instil Taqwa into their daily lives
