JERUDONG PARK, Sunday, 6 December 2020 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) celebrated Family Day as part of an end of year event in conjunction with the RBN 55th Anniversary. The celebration was for RBN officers and family members with a Treasure Hunt activity as the main event at The Colonnade, Jerudong Park, alongside other activities such as face painting, bouncers and food stalls.
Present as the Guest of Honour was First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaili @ Suhaily, RBN, Commander of Royal Brunei Navy. Also in attendance were Captain Mohamad Sarif Pudin Bin Mat Serudin, RBN, Commandant of Support Services, Commander Khairil Haji Abdul Rahman, RBN, Fleet Commander, Commander Willie @ Mathias Bin Padan, RBN, Commandant of Naval Training, officers and their family members.
RBN Family Day celebration is held annually to celebrate RBN family members and to show our appreciation for all the support and care of our family members that have directly affected the growth and development the RBN throughout this year.
The highlight of the event was the Treasure Hunt, where the concept was a family team race to find all the checkpoints allocated all around Jerudong Park. The event concluded on a high note with a prize-giving presentation by the Guest of Honour with first place won by Commander Sonny Iskandar bin Rasani and his Family.
The event ended with a closing remark by the guest of honour and the recitation of Doa Selamat.
