Muara Naval Base, Friday, 5th April 2024 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) celebrated Nuzul Al-Quran with a special religious lecture at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base. Present as the Guest of Honour was the Acting Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, Captain Khairil bin Haji Abdul Rahman, RBN. Also in attendance were officers and ratings of the RBN.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Ibrahim, verses 11-18, led by Imam Faidil Rosemady bin Mohammad, the Imam of Surau Al-Huda.
A special religious lecture was then delivered by the guest speaker, Imam Haji Asmat bin Haji Tuah, with the topic “Al-Quran Pedomanku” (The Quran, My Guide). The lecture emphasized the significance of reciting the Quran during the month of Ramadan and the importance of learning to recite it.
Before concluding the ceremony, souvenirs were presented to the invited speaker by the Guest of Honour. This marked the conclusion of the Nuzul Al-Quran Ceremony for the year 1445H/2024M.
