MUARA, Wednesday, 10 June 2020 – In conjunction with the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) 55th Anniversary Celebrations, the RBN held a blood donation campaign at the Warrant Officer, Chief Petty Officer, Petty Officer’s Mess, Muara Naval Base.
The two-day campaign is organized in collaboration with the Blood Bank Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital, Ministry of Health. The objective of the campaign is to increase the national blood bank reserve, in saving lives as the national blood bank are always in need of blood supplies. At the same time, it is to raise awareness amongst RBN personnel of the social responsibility and obligation in giving back to the community.
A total of 173 donors contributed throughout the campaign, thus exceeding the initial expected quota of 155 donors.
