MUARA NAVAL BASE, Tuesday, 13 June 2024 – In commemoration of the upcoming Royal Brunei Navy 59th Anniversary, the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a Khatam Al-Quran and Doa Kesyukuran ceremony at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base.
The ceremony aimed to express gratitude for Allah SWT’s blessings bestowed upon the organisation and its people and reinforce the importance of the Holy Quran in daily life. It commenced after the mass Asar prayer, followed by Takhtim Al-Quran, Tahlil, Doa Khatam, and Dzikir Marhaban, and concluded with ‘Doa Peliharakan Sultan Dan Negara Brunei Darussalam’ led by Imam Surau Al-Huda.
Earlier in the day, the RBN visited the Royal Mausoleum to recite Surah Yassin and Tahlil for the late Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam, Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abd Rahman, and Al-Marhum Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim Ibni Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah.
Both events were attended by Captain Haji Mohd Sarif Pudin bin Mat Serudin, Acting Commander RBN, along with members of the RBN Executive Board, officers, and ratings of the RBN.
