October 2019 – Officers and personnel of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) supported the
Program Mukim Sihat held at the Muara Health Centre. The program was organized by the Ministry of Health (MOH) in collaboration with Mukim Serasa Consultative Council.

The program was held to promote public awareness on health-related issues such as non-communicable diseases (NCDs), the importance of living a healthy lifestyle and to recognize services that are provided for patients in hospitals, health centers, dental and eye clinics. Some of the objectives are also to empower the local community to practice healthy lifestyles such as healthy eating, regular physical activities and to avoid doing things that pose a high risk to health such as smoking. In addition, it is to encourage the residents of the area to adopt this healthy lifestyle as a rewarding initiative for themselves.

The event kicked-off with a speech by Acting
Penghulu of Mukim Serasa Pg Hj Mohamed  bin Pg Hj Osman @ Othman, followed by a speech from the Guest of Honour, Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Md Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health.

The ceremony continued with the launching of the program and the presentation of appointment certificates to health ambassadors of Mukim Serasa by the Guest of Honour.

Activities included a Zumba session, a 5km walkathon, a beach clean-up and an exhibition and a health product bazaar.
