BRUNEI MUARA, Friday, 28 September 2018 – A personnel from the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Ordinary Rate (OD) Sharifuddin bin Raya from KDB AFIAT recited the Islamic oath at “Rumah Kegiatan Ugama Kampong Bebuloh Pusat Dakwah Islamiah”, today.
Present at the ceremony as the Guest of Honour was Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
Also present were Yang Berhormat Haji Umarali bin Esung, Member of the Legislative Council; First Admiral Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pg Haji Muhammad, Commander of RBN; Awang Abdul Aziz bin Hj Abd Kahar, Acting Director of Pusat Da’wah Islamiah; officers from the RBAF and the Islamic Da’wah Centre; as well as families.
The ceremony began with the recital of verses from the Al-Qur’an and the declaration of Syahadah (declaration of faith) led by an officer from the Islamic Da’wah Centre.
Subsequently, the Dikir Marhaban as well as the sprinkling of bunga rampai and gift presentation were given by the Guest of Honour, invited guests and families.
