BOLKIAH GARRISON, Sunday, 11 November 2018
– Seventy-eight cycling enthusiasts took part in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) 100km inter-services bicycle race that was held today at Bolkiah Garrison which consists of 12 personnel from Royal Brunei Navy (RBN). The Guest of Honour for the event was First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad, Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN).


The 100km race that commenced from Bolkiah Garrison with race tracks covering most of Brunei-Muara district started at 7:15 am. For the individual category, first place went to LCpl (U) Mohd Nurhaimin bin Awang from Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) ‘A’ who clocked in at 2 hours 40 minutes 38 seconds, while the second place went to Cpl (U) Masri bin Matassan also from RBAirF ‘A’ with WO2 Mohd Norisman bin Ismail from Royal Brunei Land Force Team (RBLF) ‘B’ coming in third at 2 hours 40 minutes 38.8 seconds and 2 hours 40 minutes 39.1 seconds respectively. 

For the team category, first place went to RBAirF ‘A’ with a total time of 10 hours 43 minutes, while second place went to Team RBAirF ‘B’ with Team RBN ‘A’ coming in third at 10 hours 44 minutes 14.8 seconds and 10 hours 44 minutes 15.4 seconds respectively.

The event ended with the presentation of a token of appreciation to team leaders by Captain Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Haji Seruji, RBN, RBAF Chief of Staff, and a group photo.
