MUARA, Monday, 10 December 2018 – The Indonesian Navy hosted a reception on the occasion of the goodwill visit to Brunei Darussalam onboard KRI I GUSTI NGURAH RAI at Jetty Bravo, Muara Naval Base.

Present as guest of honour at the reception was Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad. The arrival of Commander of RBN was welcomed by His Excellency Dr. Sujatmiko, MA, the Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of Republic of Indonesia for Brunei Darussalam and Rear Admiral Muhammad Ali, S.E, Governor of Indonesian Naval Academy, Indonesian Navy.

The reception began with an opening remarks by the Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of Republic of Indonesia for Brunei Darussalam followed by the Governor of Indonesian Naval Academy, Indonesian Navy where they emphasised the importance of relationship of both countries towards peace and stability in the region. The opening remarks followed by a presentation of token of appreciation to the Guest of Honour.

The reception also included performance where all the guests were entertained by varieties of traditional dance from the Indonesian Navy. Also present during the reception were senior officers and officers of the Ministry of Defence and Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
