MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday, 02 December 2022 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a Sam Brown Belt and Badge promotion ceremony for the newly appointed Fleet Regimental Sergeant Major and a promotion ceremony for RBN Senior Ratings where a total of fifty (50) senior ratings were promoted. Present as the guest of honour was First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Haji Seruji, Commander RBN. Also in attendance were members of the Royal Brunei Navy Executive Board, Senior Officers, Officers, colleagues and family members of the promoted personnel.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of
Surah Al-Fatihah followed by the presentation of the insignias by the guest of honour and concluded with
Doa Selamat. This day, three (3) personnel were promoted to the rank of Acting Warrant Officer One, nine (9) were promoted to the rank of Acting Warrant Officer Two, thirteen (13) were promoted to the rank of Acting Chief Petty Officer, and twenty five (25) were promoted to the rank of Acting Petty Officer. The RBN congratulates those promoted today for their achievements and hopes that they continue striving, encourage and lead those around them for the betterment of the organization.
