BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Wednesday, 4 December 2024 – Twenty-nine (29) participants from the Senior Non-Commissioned Officers Session 2024 of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) had the opportunity to visit the National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC). The visit was led by Lieutenant Commander Ahmad Afifi bin Haji Antin, Officer-In-Command of the Maritime Operations School, RBN. It was joined by Leadership and Management Instructors as well.
The visit began with the group leader signing a parchment, followed by a welcoming speech from Rina Nurhafizah Rezza binti Abdul Rani, Senior Disaster Management Officer.
The participants then engaged in a briefing about the establishment of the NDMC and its innovative strategies, gaining valuable insights into the centre’s vital operations. The visit continued with a tour of the Disaster Command Centre (DCC), where they observed the NDMC’s proactive approach to managing crises.
The day concluded with a lunch hosted by the NDMC and a group photo session to commemorate the experience. As a gesture of appreciation, a memento was presented to Ruhaidah binti Haji Rusli, Deputy Director of the National Disaster Management Centre, in recognition of the gratitude and respect of the participants.
