ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY RECEIVES NEW COMMANDER
MUARA, Friday 28 February 2014 – Today the Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) First AdmiralDato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Mohd Hanifah and his successor, First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit presided over a handing over ceremony.
THE 11TH ASEAN NAVY CHIEFS MEETING
PATTAYA, Sunday, 19 November 2017 – The 11th ASEAN Navy Chiefs’ Meeting (ANCM) was held today at the Dusit Tani Hotel in Pattaya, Thailand, with the theme “Protection and Preservation of the Marine Environment”. The meeting was chaired by Admiral Naris Pratoomsuwan, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy (RTN). This year’s ANCM was held in conjunction to the International Fleet Review (IFR) 2017 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN that is slated to be held on 20 November 2017.
ASEAN INTERNATIONAL FLEET REVIEW 2017
PATTAYA, Monday, 20 November 2017 – The opening ceremony of the ASEAN International Fleet Review (IFR) 2017 was held Sunday morning on the 19 November 2017 at the Dusit Thani Pattaya Hotel to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The ceremony was officially launched by General (Retired) Prawit Wongsuwon, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Thailand.

MUARA, Monday, 20 November 2017 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) ship KDB DARUSSALAM apprehended a foreign trawler conducting illegal fishing activities in Brunei Darussalam’s waters.

MUARA, Thursday, 9 November 2017 –The Occupational Health and Safety Supervisory (OHS) Course series 3/2017 was conducted by the Inspectorate Unit of RBAF and the Naval Inspectorate Cell, and concluded with a closing ceremony held at Samudera Hall, Naval Training Centre (NTC), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN). Present as a guest of honor was the RBN Head of Inspectorate Cell, Commander Hadi Syarifuddin bin Haji Muhd Hassanal Mega, RBN.
RBN PARTICIPATES IN EXERICE HARAPAN
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Wednesday, 22 November 2017 – The Naval Surface Action Group (NAVSAG), led by Lieutenant Pg Mohd Faren bin Pg Md Noor, RBN successfully executed a combined Search and Rescue Exercise, dubbed ‘Exercise Harapan’ which was conducted and organised by the Brunei Fire and Rescue Department (BFRD) in preparation for the Golden Jubilee Regatta 2017 in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam’s Accession to the Throne.
