MUARA, Monday, 20 November 2017 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) ship KDB DARUSSALAM apprehended a foreign trawler conducting illegal fishing activities in Brunei Darussalam’s waters.
A total of five foreign fishermen were found onboard. The trawler and the fishermen were escorted and handed over to the Marine Police Royal Brunei Police Force, in the presence of a representative from the Fisheries Department.
It was just last month that the KDB DARUSSALAM apprehended two foreign fishing trawlers during her routine patrol on 01 October 2017. This is the eighth foreign fishing vessel apprehended by the RBN this year.
