STAFF MEETING FOR THE 12TH ASEAN NAVY CHIEFS’ MEETING
Marina Mandarin Hotel, Republic of Singapore, 3rd May 2018 – With this year’s theme “ASEAN Navies – Strengthening Cooperation, Building Resilience” the 12th ASEAN Navy Chiefs’ Meeting (12th ANCM) Staff Meeting commenced from 2nd till 4th May 2018 at the Marina Mandarin Hotel, Republic of Singapore.
ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY PERSONNEL PROMOTION CEREMONY
Muara Naval Base, Thursday 3 May 2018 – Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a promotion ceremony series 2/2017 for 23 Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs). The ceremony was held at the Warrant Officers’, Chief Petty Officers’ and Petty Officers’ Mess, RBN.
15 RBN PERSONNEL RECEIVE HONORARY MEDALS
ISTANA NURUL IMAN, Saturday 28 May 2018 - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to confer honorary medals in conjunction with His Majesty 71st Birthday Celebration at an Investiture Ceremony held at Balai Singgahsana Indera Kencana, Istana Nurul Iman.
HMS ALBION DEPART
MUARA COMMERCIAL PORT, Wednesday, 2nd May 2018 – HMS ALBION departed Muara Commercial Port after her Goodwill Visit to Brunei Darussalam from 28 April to 2 Mei 2018. She will be also conducting of Passage Exercise (PASSEX) the next day with KDB DARUSSALAM before exiting Brunei Darussalam’s waters to proceed to her next destination to the north. Among the highlighted programme was Courtesy Call to Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Force, Courtesy call to Commander of Royal Brunei Navy and hosting Britannia Royal Naval College Alumni onboard HMS ALBION.
HMS ALBION HOST BRITANNIA ROYAL NAVAL COLLEGE ALUMNI RECEPTION
MUARA COMMERCIAL PORT, Tuesday, 1st May 2018 – The Royal Navy ship HMS ALBION hosted a Britannia Royal Naval College Alumni Onboard Reception as part of her 5-day programme. Captain Tim Neild, Royal Navy (RN), Commanding Officer, HMS ALBION host the reception specially to all Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) personnel including retired RBN personnel who had attend Royal Naval College, Dartmouth in United Kingdom. This is a sign of renewing bonds of old friendship and Britannia Royal Naval College memories between RN and RBN, and also, to show respect and contribution of the candidate’s who attended the college.
ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY CELEBRATE NISFU SYA’BAN
MUARA NAVAL BASE, Monday 30th April 2018 – Nisfu Sya’ban ceremony was held at Surau Al-Huda, Royal Brunei Navy (RBN). Approximately 500 RBN personnel, including Senior Officers, Officers and other ranks attended the blessed ceremony. Captain Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaily, RBN, Deputy Commander of the RBN was the Guest of Honour.
