FOREIGN FISHING VESSEL APPREHENDED FOR ILLEGAL FISHING
MUARA, Friday, 12 October 2018 – A foreign fishing vessel carrying five fishermen onboard was seized by the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) ship KDB DARULAMAN on Wednesday, 10 October 2018.
COMMANDER ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY ATTENDS 16TH WESTERN PACIFIC NAVAL SYMPOSIUM 2018
JEJU, REPUBLIC OF KOREA, Friday, 12 October 2018 – The 16th Western Pacific Naval Symposium (WPNS), hosted by the Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN) which was simultaneously with the International Fleet Review (IFR) 2018, was held at Lotte Hotel, Jeju Island. Admiral Sim Seung-seob, Chief of Naval Operation (CNO) ROKN, was the chairman for this year symposium. Minister of National Defense Republic of Korea, Jeong Kyeong-doo was also in attendance together with Chief of Navies and representatives from 46 countries. KDB DARUTTAQWA ARRIVES IN REPUBLIC OF KOREA FOR INTERNATIONAL FLEET REVIEW 2018
JEJU NAVAL BASE, REPUBLIC OF KOREA, Wednesday, 10 October 2018 – KDB DARUTTAQWA (DTQ), safely arrived in Jeju Island, Republic of Korea to participate in this year’s Republic of Korean Navy International Fleet Review (ROKN IFR) from 10 to 15 October 2018 in conjunction with 70th anniversary of Republic of Korean Armed Forces.
79 ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY PERSONNEL PROMOTED
MUARA, Wednesday, 10 October 2018 - A promotion ceremony for the 79 personnel of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) was held at the Senior Rates Mess, Muara Naval Base. Presenting the rank insignias to 79 RBN personnel was Captain Hj Othman Bin Hj Suhaili@Suhaily, Acting Commander of RBN.
