TIEN SA PORT, SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM, Thursday, 04 October 2018 – KDB DARUTTAQWA (DTQ) today ended its two days goodwill visit to Da Nang, Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The aim of the visit was to further strengthen bilateral ties between both nations and provide the opportunity for RBN personnel and Vietnam People’s Navy (VPN) personnel to interact through interaction programs such as the Young Officer’s interaction program and ship visits.

A reception was also held by the Tien Sa Lodge hosted by Senior Captain Pham Van Hiep, Deputy Commander Naval Region 3 in attendance of officers from both navies. Similarly, a reception was held onboard ship hosted by Commander Md Azrin bin Hj Mahmud, Commanding Officer DTQ with the attendance of the Defence Attaché to Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia, representatives of Foreign Relations Department, Officers from Naval Region 3, Officers from Military Zone 5, representatives of Da Nang City Boarder Guard and Brunei Student Committee.

Present during the reception were the guest of honor Deputy Director Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Da Nang and Mrs Nguyen Thuy Anh, Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs.

Present at the sending-off ceremony today were the Defence Attaché of Brunei Darussalam, Lt Col Omar Shariff bin Hidop and representative from the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam to Vietnam along with the representatives from Foreign Affairs Department of Da Nang City, Da Nang City People’s Committee, Vietnam People’s Navy (VPN) Headquarters, Military Zone 5, Military Command of Da Nang City, Border Guard of Da Nang, Foreign Relations Department from Vietnam’s Ministry of Defence.

DTQ’s goodwill visit to Da Nang, Socialist Republic of Vietnam proves testament in promoting friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding between both RBN and VPN.
