MUARA, Friday, 28 September 2018 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) ship KDB DARULAMAN apprehended a foreign fishing vessel conducting illegal fishing activities in Brunei Darussalam’s waters about 130 nautical miles from the coast of Brunei Darussalam.
A total of four foreign fishermen including the master of the boat were found onboard the trawler. The trawler and the fishermen were then escorted and handed over to the Marine Police Royal Brunei Police Force, in the presence of a representative from the Fisheries Department.
This is the second foreign fishing vessel apprehended by the RBN this year, the first being in May 2018.
