MUARA, Monday, 30 May 2022 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), today, held the Doa Kesyukuran ceremony to mark the 61st Anniversary of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base. Captain Khairil bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Fleet Commander RBN was the most senior officer in attendance along with officers and ratings of the RBN.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Anfal, verses 60-63 by Leading Hand Ak Muhammad Nazirul bin Pg Haji Hanafi of RBN’s Support Services. The ceremony proceeded with mass Maghrib prayers led by Imam Faidil Rosemady bin Mohammad, and continued with mass Sunat Hajat Prayers, recitation of Surah Yassin and Tahlil, a Doa Kesyukuran led by Imam Ak Yadiy bin Pg Sufriddin before ending the ceremony with mass Isya’ prayers.

Doa Kesyukuran ceremonies were held concurrently at all RBAF suraus, as well in Pulau Baru-Baru. This is to seek the continued blessings from Allah SWT for the success of the organisation in defending the national sovereignty, territorial integrity and upholding the constitution and the Malay Islamic Monarchy philosophy.
