MUARA, Monday, 28 October 2019 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) today held the opening ceremony of this year’s
Dikir Maulud Celebration at Surau Al-Huda. Present at the opening ceremony as the Guest of Honour was Captain Pengiran Mohamad bin Pengiran Haji Damit, Deputy Commander of RBN. Also present were senior officers, officers and personnel of RBN.
The ceremony began with the recital of Surah Al-Ahzab, verses 21 – 25 by 13884 Chief Petty Officer (CPO) Sulaiman bin Haji Yusof and then followed by mass Maghrib Prayer. The ceremony continued on with the recital of
Dikir Assalamualaika and
Dikir Hairuman. The ceremony concluded with mass Isyak Prayer and
Dikir Marhaban led by Imam Faidil Rosemady bin Mohammad, Imam of Surau Al-Huda.
The Dikir Maulud Celebration Opening Ceremony was held simultaneously throughout every surau in the RBAF including to usher in the celebration for the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
