MUARA, Tuesday, 02 FEBRUARY 2020- First Admiral Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Haji Seruji, Commander of Royal Brunei Navy received a courtesy call from Commander Randall D. Jones, Chief, Office of Defense Cooperation, United States at Naval Headquarters today.
During the call, the commander of Royal Brunei Navy expressed pleasures for the long history of bilateral ties between the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and United States Navy (USN) since the establishment of bilateral Exercise KINGFISHER. Defense relations continues to grow and strengthen over the years namely through exercise Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT).
Both sides affirmed that despite the challenges face by the global Pandemic, defense engagement will continue to progress, gaps will be explored and exercises planned will be more dynamic, breaking away from scripted traditional exercises.
Future testament of progress between both countries are further discuss with upcoming exercises between RBN and USN including Video Teleconference of Multilateral Key Leader Engagement that will be convened by the Commander of US Pacific Fleet this coming month.
