MUARA, Thursday, 10 September 2020 – The Force Sergeant Major, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Warrant Officer 1 Awang Rashid bin Haji Abdul Rahman made a farewell call to the Commander of Royal Brunei Navy, First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaili @ Suhaily at the Royal Brunei Navy Headquarters. In attendance during the meeting were the RBN Sergeant Major and Fleet Sergeant Major.
During the meeting, Commander of RBN extends his gratitude and appreciation to RBAF Sergeant Major for his tremendous leadership and longstanding service. Commander RBN also praised his work ethics and sacrifices that had brought pride to RBAF as a model Senior Non-Commissioned Officer. Additionally, Commander RBN bids farewell for his future undertakings and hopeful that this retirement journey will be memorable in RBAF
Warrant Officer 1 Awang Rashid had been in the service for 30 years and 6 months. His handing over ceremony will officially be held on 1 October 2020 to the next RBAF Sergeant Major Warrant Officer 1 (U) Muhd Syahiran Bin Haji Abu Bakar making him the 14th RBAF Sergeant Major.
