MUARA, Thursday, 25 October 2018 – First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad, Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) today received courtesy call from Colonel Douglas Goh, Head Naval Inspectorate/ Commander Doctrine and Readiness Group, Republic Singapore Navy (RSN). Accompanying Colonel Douglas Goh was Commanding Officer Midshipman, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Neo, Commanding Officer RSS ENDEAVOUR, Lieutenant Colonel Jerry Lee and Midshipman Course Commander, Major Ong Kang Guan.
During the courtesy call, both sides discussed about the importance to continue to further deepened and strengthened the RSN and RBN relationship, which are not just limited to defence but also in other key areas of significance as well. Both also acknowledged the bond between RSN – RBN has always been quite special and looking to strengthen relationship and plan ahead for future activities. The courtesy call concluded with both Commander of RBN and RSN Head of Delegation exchanging mementos as a gesture of goodwill and appreciation.
The last RSN ship to visit Brunei Darussalam was by RSS STALWART in November 2017 led by Senior Lieutenant Colonel Kian Hua Augustine.
