MUARA, Friday, 28 September 2018 – The Chief Supervisor Course series 02/2018 which was conducted by the Maritime Technical School (MTS) has concluded today with closing ceremony held at Nakhoda Hall, Naval Training Centre (NTC), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN). Present as Guest of Honor was Commander Khairil bin Haji Abd Rahman, Commandant Naval Training, Naval Training Centre.
The course was attended by 20 personnel for five weeks from 24th August 2018 to 28th September 2018. It is a generic and mandatory course for technical personnel at RBN in accordance with the route and advancement (Skim Perkembangan Kerjaya) to RBN. The objectives of the course is to provide knowledge on the roles and responsibilities of the Chief Marine Engineer (CME) or Chief Weapon Engineer (CWE) onboard RBN Ships and also to provide knowledge to be accountable towards the Middle Management/Command.
The certificate presentation to the course participants presented by the Guest of Honor. In his closing remarks, he emphasized that the knowledge gained from the course should be applied and implemented onboard RBN ships in order to become a competent Chief Supervisor. He also added that the system onboard the ship are to be familiarized with better understanding and that all technical documents are to be followed and practiced to achieve the RBN’s standard. The closing ceremony ended with a closing doa and group photo session.
