MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday, 18 August 2023 - The Officers Under Training Course (OUTC) closing ceremony was conducted, all 18 Junior Naval Officers have successfully completed their first mandatory course. The Naval Training Centre in collaboration with the Brunei Engineering Logistics and Technical Solution (BELTS) provides a crucial training course for young officers to develop and enhance their foundation on basic seamanship.
Attended by the Guest of Honour, Commander Willie bin Padan, RBN, Commandant of Naval Training and Commanding Officers from the Fleet, the OUTC closing ceremony began with an opening remark by Commander (R) Samsul Bahrin Bin Hj Tawih, RBN, Head of Training instructor unit of BELTS followed by a speech from the course representative and best student Lieutenant Junior Grade Muhammad Azli Azhar Bin Hj Mohammad Samri, RBN.
The Commandant of Naval Training Centre (CNT), RBN in his remarks emphasised that the course was just the beginning of many courses that the young officers would endeavour in the near future. Further highlighting that resilience and perseverance are the keys to progress in this career path, CNT also advised the junior officers to always keep learning as they move forward.
Presentation of certificates for OUTC participants was presented by the Guest of honour. The tokens of appreciation were addressed to NTC & BELTS as a symbol of gratitude from the Junior Officers. The event concluded with recitation of doa and group photos.
