Thursday, MUARA, 29 November 2018 – A closing ceremony of Introductory and General Mechanic Course for the Marine Police, Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) was held at Samudera Hall, Naval Training Centre (NTC), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) at Muara Naval Base. The Guest of Honour for the event was Commander Khairil Haji Abdul Rahman, RBN, the Commandant of Naval Training. Also in attendance were RBN and Marine Police, RBPF Officers, instructors and personnel from both RBN and Marine Police, RBPF.

The Introductory Course were attended by 4 personnel which started on the 20th August 2018 while 6 personnel attended the General Mechanic Course which started on the 26th March 2018.

This was the first ever Introductory Course for the Marine Police, whereby the course was designed to equip the Marine Police personnel on the basic navigation including practical sessions for hands-on experiences, Sea Survival, Seamanship and Fire Fighting and Damage Control. The General Mechanic Course was designed for the Marine Police personnel on the basic of marine engineer module such as on health and safety, propulsion engines and auxiliary equipment of boats, ships and many more.

The recitation of the do’a to bless the ceremony was recited by Ustaz Mohd Rafiuddin bin Hj Mohd Ali, Religious Teacher at NTC followed by a speech from course representative PC 5979 Mohd Morsidi bin Awg Jair to share his reflections and takeaways throughout attending the courses. It was then followed by certificate and patches presentation to the course participants by the Guest of Honour.

The closing ceremony ended with a recitation of a do’a and a group photo session with all of the participants and guests presents.
