Friday, 17 July 2020 – Naval Surface Action Group (NAVSAG) Training School held a closing ceremony for the Intermediate Naval Diving Course 2020. The event was held at Nakhoda Hall, Naval Training Center (NTC), Royal Brunei Navy.

Present as the Guest of Honour was Commander Willie bin Padan, Fleet Chief of Staff. Also in attendance were officers, senior ranks and instructors from NTC. Certificates were presented to the course participants before the event was concluded with a photo taking session.

The course was conducted over a span of three weeks, from 26th June 2020 to 17th July 2020 in sequential stages, starting with theoretical lessons, pool phase and practicals at sea.

The course was a mandatory for NAVSAG personnel for their promotion to Leading Hand (LH) rank. The course test the candidates mentally and physical limits and to raise diving standard with the capabilities to conduct underwater searching procedures align with NAVSAG Diving Team roles of execute underwater search and rescue mission.

A total of 10 NAVSAG candidates who was successfully completed the course.
