BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday 15 February 2019 – Closing Ceremony for Fire Marshall and Fire Warden Course series 1/2019 was conducted at Fire and Safety Services Headquarters, Combat Support Services (CSS) Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), Bolkiah Garrison.
Total of 25 Personnel participated the course made up of – 17 personnel from Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), 6 from Technical Equipment Maintenance Division (TEMD), RBN and 2 personnels from Sekolah Rendah Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (SRTL).
The course was conducted by the Fire and Safety Services, CSS RBLF which started from 11 February 2019 until 15 February 2019.
The objective of this course is to teach the basics, techniques for different situation and train personnel on how to become a qualified Fire Marshal and Fire Warden with the aim that when they get back to departments, they will be equipped with Fire Safety knowledge and be able to practice as well as implement at their respective departments and buildings.
The course consisted of 80 percent practical and 20 percent theory. The course subject consisted of Bomb Prevention, Fire Safety Procedures and the usage of specific fire fighting equipment.
Present as a Guest of Honour and presented the certificate to the participants of the course was the RBN Acting Head of Inspectorate Cell, Commander Shahairil bin Hj Md Shahlan, RBN. Also present were the Officer Commanding, Warrant Officers and Instructors from the Fire and safety services.
