MUARA, Friday, 21 August 2020 – Basic General Mechanic (GM143) Weapon and Marine Course closing ceremony was held at the Nakhoda Hall of Naval Training Centre (NTC), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN).
Present as the Guest of Honour was Commander Haji Norbahrin bin Haji Muamad, Assistant Chief of Staff Logistic Royal Brunei Navy. Also, in attendance were Marine Police Operation Officer, Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), RBN officers, instructors and senior ranks.
A total of 27 participants attended the course, of which 25 from RBN personnel and 2 from RBPF personnel. The course was successfully conducted over 28 weeks which commenced on 07th February 2020 until 21st August 2020 under the management of Maritime Technical Schools (MTS). NTC.
The course is a mandatory for ordinary rate for their career progression. Other than that, its main objectives are to qualify new technical personnel and to ensure that they are knowledgeable and competence to hold responsibilities as Marine and Weapon Engineering in the early stage of their career.
