MUARA, Tuesday, 12 March 2019 – His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, consented to award the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Command Badge to Chief of Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN), Yang Berbahagia Admiral Datuk Mohd Reza bin Mohd Sany, in recognition for his services in enhancing the relations between RBN and RMN.

Yang Berbahagia Admiral Datuk Mohd Reza bin Mohd Sany is currently in Brunei Darussalam to receive the award, which was presented by Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of RBAF. The event was held at the RBN Headquarters.

Following his award ceremony, he visited the Ministry of Defence and paid a courtesy call on the Second Minister of Defence. During the call, the Second Minister of Defence and Chief of RMN expressed their satisfaction on the warm and friendly relations between the navies of the two countries. The two sides reiterated their commitment in further strengthening navy-to-navy ties through the exchange of visits, trainings and exercises.

He also paid separate calls to the Commander of RBAF and Commander of RBN, First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad.

Yang Berbahagia Admiral Datuk Mohd Reza bin Mohd Sany was appointed Chief of RMN on 30 November 2018.
