BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Thursday, 19 July 2018 - Advance Cook and Steward 2018 session participants had the opportunity to visit Ministry of Religious Affairs, Department of Syariah Affairs (Halal Food Control Division). The group consists of six (6) participants of the course, five (5) instructors and one (1) officer led by Admin Officer Naval Training Centre, Lieutenant Junior Grade Hajah Umi Kalsum binti Haji Roslan. Present to greet the visit was Head of Halal Food Control Division, Ustaz Ahmad Haziq bin Haji Abdul Hamid.
The visit commenced with a presentation by the Nutritionist Officer, Hajah Dayana binti Haji Alias on the jurisdiction of Halal Food Control Division, the procedure of Halal certification and Halal permit, as well as providing information exposure of Halal food in Brunei Darussalam and ended with question and answer session.
They conclude the visit with a photo session followed by presenting plaque to the Halal Food Control Division as an appreciation for the visit.
