PULAU PINANG, MALAYSIA – KDB DARULAMAN dari Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (TLDB) telah berjaya menyertai ASEAN Multilateral Naval Exercise kali ketiga 2025 (AMNEX 3/25) yang dianjurkan bersama ASEAN Fleet Review 2025 (AFR 25) oleh Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia (TLDM) di Pulau Pinang, Malaysia, bermula 15 hingga 21 Ogos 2025.
AMNEX 3/25 telah dimulakan secara rasmi dengan ketibaan kapal-kapal tentera laut ASEAN di Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal (SPCT), dan diteruskan dengan Fasa Pelabuhan dari 15 hingga 19 Ogos. Fasa ini bertujuan memperkukuh hubungan persahabatan serta meningkatkan koordinasi dalam melaksanakan operasi bersama antara angkatan laut ASEAN. Antara acara utama sepanjang fasa ini termasuk Majlis Pembukaan Rasmi, Perbarisan Bandar Tentera Laut ASEAN, Lawatan Kapal Terbuka, Sesi Perbincangan Pegawai Staf Operasi (OPSO), serta Persidangan Pra-Pelayaran. Aktiviti-aktiviti ini menyediakan peluang dan platform bagi perkongsian profesional, interaksi budaya serta pertukaran amalan terbaik dalam keselamatan maritim.
Fasa laut AMNEX 3/25 bermula dengan ASEAN Fleet Review 2025 (AFR 25) di Saluran Utara Pulau Pinang yang diserikan dengan keberangkatan Tetamu Kehormat, Yang Di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang, TYT Tun Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Ramli bin Ngah Talib. AFR 25 bertujuan mencerminkan serta memupuk hubungan persahabatan dan kerjasama erat di kalangan negara ASEAN. Antara kapal yang mengambil bahagian ialah KD KEDAH, KD LEKIU dan KD LEKIR dari TLDM; RSS VIGOUR dari Tentera Laut Republik Singapura; UMS KINGSIN PHYU SHIN dari Tentera Laut Myanmar; BRP ANTONIO LUNA dari Tentera Laut Filipina; KRI BUNG TOMO dari Tentara Nasional Indonesia-Angkatan Laut; VPN Quang Trung dari Tentera Laut Rakyat Vietnam; HTMS KRABI dari Tentera Laut Diraja Thailand; dan KDB DARULAMAN mewakili TLDB.
Selesai AFR 25, kesemua kapal peserta belayar ke kawasan latihan yang ditetapkan untuk melaksanakan siri latihan yang telah dirancang termasuk Tactical Manouvering Exercise (MANEX), Replenishment Approach at Sea (RASAP), Publication Exercise (PUBEX), Flashing Exercise (FLASHEX), Night Steaming In-Company (NSIC), Boarding Exercise (BOARDEX), Photo Exercise (PHOTOEX), dan diakhiri dengan Farewell Sail-Past. Selepas tamat AMNEX 3/25, KDB DARULAMAN meneruskan pelayaran ke Cam Ranh, Republik Sosialis Vietnam bagi lawatan diplomasi pertahanan.
Fokus utama AMNEX 3/25 adalah untuk mengukuhkan kerjasama antara negara ASEAN serta meningkatkan koordinasi dalam bidang seperti latihan komunikasi dan manuver taktikal, sekali gus memperkasakan keupayaan tentera laut ASEAN untuk beroperasi bersama. Penyertaan berjaya KDB DARULAMAN dalam AMNEX 3/25 mencerminkan komitmen berterusan TLDB dalam memupuk kerjasama serantau, mempererat hubungan diplomatik, serta meningkatkan kebolehoperasian bersama angkatan laut ASEAN.

KDB DARULAMAN SUCCESSFULLY PARTICIPATE IN THE ASEAN FLEET REVIEW 2025 (AFR 25) AND 3RDASEAN MULTILATERAL NAVAL EXERCISE (AMNEX 3/25) IN PULAU PINANG, MALAYSIA
PULAU PINANG, FRIDAY, 22nd AUGUST 2025 - KDB DARULAMAN of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) successfully participated in the 3rd ASEAN Multilateral Naval Exercise 2025 (AMNEX 3/25) conjointly with ASEAN Fleet Review 2025 (AFR 25) hosted by the Royal Malaysia Navy in Pulau Pinang, Malaysia, from 15th August to 21st August 2025.
AMNEX 3/25 officially commenced with the arrival of ASEAN naval ships at Swettenham Pier Crusie Terminal (SPCT) and started with Harbour Phase from 15th August to 19th August. The harbour phase aimed to strengthen camaraderie and to enhance coordination in conducting operations among participating ASEAN navies. Highlighted events during the harbour phase include the Official Opening Ceremony, ASEAN Navies’ City Parade, Open Ship Visits, Operations Staff Officers’ (OPSO)Discussions and Pre-Sail Conference. These engagements provided opportunities and platform for all participating ASEAN navies for professional exchanges, cultural interactionsand sharing of the best practices in maritime security.
The sea-phase of AMNEX 3/25, it began with the ASEAN Fleet Review 2025 (AFR 25) at the North Penang Channel graced by Yang Di-Pertua Negeri of Penang, TYT Tun Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Ramli Bin Ngah Talib, as the guest of honour. The objective of the AFR 25 was to reflect and promote the camaraderie and coaction between ASEAN countries. Participating naval ships in the AFR 25 are KD KEDAH, KD LEKIU, and KD LEKIR from the Royal Malaysia Navy; RSS VIGOUR from the Republic of Singapore Navy; UMS KINGSIN PHYU SHIN from the Myanmar Navy; BRP ANTONIO LUNA from the Philippine Navy; KRI BUNG TOMO from the Indonesian Navy; VPN Quang Trung from the Vietnam People’s Navy; HTMS KRABI from the Royal Thailand Navy; and KDB DARULAMAN representing the Royal Brunei Navy. Upon completion of the AFR 25, all participating ships sailed towards the designated Exercise Area for the executions of all planned exercise serials such as Tactical Manouvering Exercise (MANEX), Replenishment Approach at Sea (RASAP), Publication Exercise (PUBEX), Flashing Exercise (FLASHEX), Night Steaming In-Company (NSIC), Boarding Exercise (BOARDEX), Photo Exercise (PHOTOEX), and concludedwith, Farewell Sail-Past. Upon completion of AMNEX 3/25, KDB DARULAMAN resumed her voyage to Cam Ranh, Republic Socialist of Vietnam, for a defence diplomacy visit.
The main focus of AMNEX 3/25 is to promote cooperation between ASEAN countries and enhance coordination in areas such as communication drills and tactical maneuvering, reinforcing the ability of ASEAN navies to be able to operate together. The successful participation of KDB DARULAMAN in AMNEX 03/2025 reflects the Royal Brunei Navy’s continuous commitment in fostering regional cooperation, strengthening diplomatic ties, and improving interoperability with ASEAN counterparts.
