MUARA, Thursday, 25 October 2018 – The 4th Naval Working Group (NWG) meeting between Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and Indonesian Navy (IDN) was successfully held from the 24th to the 26th of October 2018 at the Multi National Coordination Centre (MNCC), Muara Naval Base, Brunei Darussalam.

The 4th NWG was co-chaired by Commander Khairil bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Commandant Naval Training RBN, and Captain Retiono Kunto, Senior Officer for Exercises, IDN Headquarters. A welcoming address was given by Captain Othman bin Haji Suhaili@Suhaily, the Deputy Commander of RBN in which he highlighted the cordial long-standing relationship between both navies.
 
The primary objectives of the NWG were to discuss on matters pertaining to bilateral exercises between RBN and IDN, courses and training improvements in addition to strengthening the bilateral relationship between both navies. Amongst the highlighted events during the 4th NWG was 4th MNEK which will be held in August 2020 in Jakarta, Indonesia. At the same time, Exercise HELANG LAUT will also be conducted back-to-back with 4th MNEK in Surabaya, Indonesia.
 
Following the meeting, a signing of Minutes of Meeting (MoM) was conducted between both Head of Delegations of RBN and IDN. Captain Retiono Kunto and delegation then proceeded to make a Courtesy Call to First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad, the Commander of RBN at RBN Headquarters.
