BRUNEI-MUARA, Friday, 16 December 2022 – The 2nd Navy-to-Navy Talks between the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and Viet Nam People’s Navy (VPN) was held from 13 December until 16 December 2022 at the Officer’s Mess, Muara Naval Base.

Present as the Head of Delegation for RBN was Commander Mohammad Azrin bin Haji Mahmud, Chief of Staff, RBN whilst the VPN delegation was led by Rear Admiral Pham Van Hung, Deputy Chief of Staff VPN. Prior to the 2nd Navy-to-Navy Talks, the VPN delegation paid a courtesy call to First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Haji Seruji, Commander RBN where both sides acknowledged the importance of the talks towards building a long-standing and mutually beneficial relationship.

The Navy-to-Navy Talks between RBN and VPN serves as a platform for both navies to discuss matters of shared interests, explore opportunities to enhance interoperability and strengthen bilateral relations. As a part of the VPN delegation’s first time in Brunei, RBN also organized a cultural visit to facilitate mutual understanding between both cultures to lay the foundations for future cooperation.
