MUARA NAVAL BASE, Wednesday, 22 March 2023 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held the Opening Night of Tarawih, Witir and Tadarus Al-Quran for the month of Ramadhan 1444H held at Surau Al-Huda, RBN.
Present at the Opening Night was Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Mat Serudin, Acting Commander of RBN. Also present were the RBN Executive Board, Officers and personnel residing within and around Muara Naval Base. The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Imam Faidil Rosemady bin Mohamad, Imam of Surau Al-Huda RBN.
The ceremony continued with the distribution of personal gifts of dates from His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, in conjunction with the month of Ramadhan 1444H presented by Acting Commander RBN to the RBN Executive Board as representatives for each major department of the RBN. The ceremony then continued with a sermon and recitation of the Al-Qur’an collectively by the congregation present.
The ceremony ended with the recitation of
Doa Peliharakan Sultan and Negara Brunei Darussalam and Surah Al-‘Asr. The event is one of the religious events to commemorate the beginning of the month of Ramadhan 1444H.
