MUARA, Friday, 23 November 2018 – The Russian Pacific Fleet Navy ships Varyag (Slava-Class Guided Missile Class), RFS Admiral Panteleyev (Udaloy-class destroyer) and replenishment vessel RFS Boris Butoma (Boris Chilikin-class fleet oiler) bids farewell to Brunei Darussalam after goodwill visit that commenced on Sunday, 18 November 2018 until Friday, 23 November 2018.  Acting Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Captain Haji Othman bin Hj Suhaili@Suhaily, RBN also had a ship tour onboard one of the ships, Varvag before the Russian Navy Ships sailed off.
Present to send the ships off was Commander Azrin bin Haji Mahmud, Commanding Officer of KDB DARULAMAN. Also present were senior officers, officers and personnel from RBN, as well as RBN band.
 
During the visit, there was various activities that range from sports interaction, ship visits, a lecture on the history of the Russian Pacific Fleet, beach cleaning and also ship’s visit open to public.
The Russian Navy ships will also conduct a Passage Exercise (PASSEX) with KDB DARUTTAQWA before setting sail to her next port of call in Changi Naval Base, Singapore.
