MUARA, Friday, 5 April 2019 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) welcomed the arrival of ROKS DAE JO YONG, Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN) on 05 April 2019, that is currently visiting Brunei Darussalam until 07 march 2019.
The ship is commanded by Captain Sung Jae Hur, ROKN and carries 301 crew onboard.
During the goodwill visit, Captain Sung Jae Hur, ROKS, made a courtesy call to The Acting Commander of the RBN, Captain Hj Othman bin Hj Suhaili @ Suhaily, RBN. Both sides had discussed opportunities for further enhancement of the bilateral relationship between the two navies.
ROKS DAE JO YONG held an onboard reception hosted by Captain Sung Jae Hur, ROKN. Present as the Guest of Honour was Captain Hj Othman bin Hj Suhaili @ Suhaily, Acting Commander of RBN and His Excellency Yoon Hyun-Bong. Also present during the reception were senior officers and officers from RBN.
While in Brunei Darussalam, ROKS DAE JO YONG participated in professional exchanges where both naval personnel had opportunities to share experiences and knowledge as well and to foster friendship and camaraderie. ROKS DAE JO YONG also conducted Passage Exercise (PASSEX) with KDB AFIAT before departing to her next port of call.
