MUARA NAVAL BASE,
Thursday, 15 Jun 2023 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a Khatam Al-Qur’an event in conjunction with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces’ 62nd Anniversary. Present for the ceremony at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base was Captain Khairil bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Fleet Commander RBN, along with members of the RBN Executive Board, officers and ratings of the RBN. Similar events were held across all Ministry of Defence and RBAF suraus, including Masjid Pulau Baru-Baru, with the focal event at Surau Al-Barakah, Rimba Air Force Base.
The ceremony began with the recital of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the recitation of Al-Qur’an by the Khatam Al-Qur’an participants.
The event continued with Dikir Marhaban, presentation of tokens of appreciation to the participants and concluded with Fardhu Asar prayers and the ceremony ended with ‘Doa Peliharakan Sultan Dan Negara Brunei Darussalam’ led by Imam Surau Al-Huda.
