MUARA NAVAL BASE, Thursday, 17 August 2023 – A total of forty-five (45) military cadets from Sayyidina Hassan Secondary School along with nine (09) teaching staff, visited the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN).
Their arrival was welcomed by RBN officers and ratings where the group was given an introductory brief highlighting careers opportunity, roles and responsibilities in RBN. The visit continued with an educational visit to Naval Surface Action Group (NAVSAG) hangar and a short anti-riot demonstration from the RBN Base Defence. Finally, the group participated in a ship tour to KDB DARULAMAN where they visited the Engine Control Room (ECR), ships’ bridge, flightdeck, sick bay and RHIC Deck.
This visit provided students with the opportunity to discover RBN assets and the personnel who support them, as well as learn about the preparations required for a career at the RBN. This visit was also held to encourage them to join RBN to become a contributor to Wawasan 2035. The visit has been concluded with a photo session in front of KDB DARULAMAN Ship.
